Tools for Making Balloon Animals

Hi! I'm Dan and I'm with Expert Village. Now we're going to be talking about the tools you need to make balloon animals. The first thing you obviously need is balloons. I have here a bag of Qualatex 260 balloons. I prefer Qualatex over any other balloon because they don't pop as much. When they don't pop as much, you're able to make more balloons and have a lot more fun. A lot of times when you buy a balloon making kits, they come with balloons and they're not that quality of balloons and that may be why you've been having some problems with the balloons popping. With the Qualatex balloons, you'll find that you'll get a lot less popping. Another thing you may need is a balloon pump. This is just a standard balloon also produced by Qualatex. If you're a beginner, you probably most definitely will need to get a pump because they're very difficult to blow up. I'll talk about this as we go into the inflating section. The other tool I have here is an apron. This is basically a 3 pouch waiter's apron. What I've done is I've taken the seams out to create 2 different pouches. I have one big pouch and one small pouch. That allows it to put all my balloons into one big pouch. The small pouch over here, I have Sharpie pens. Sharpie pens are used to draw faces on balloons to give them a little more character, a little more lift. We'll see that as we finish making a balloon. Next thing we're going to talk about is actually inflating the balloons.
