In this clip I'm going to talk about removing our pot from the batt. I have undercut our piece of pottery with our wire tool, I've run water under it which helps it to hydroplane, sort of how a tire would hydroplane on a wet road surface, creating it, making it being loose. Again, I've dried my hands, we've dried the outside of the pot and I can just go ahead and grab the pot and move it off the wheel onto a different board. Again, what I like about these batts, is that you don't have to cut it right off, remove it from the wheel head. I can take it off the wheel and put it back on the wheel with it still being on centered. I can let it set up or dress the pot with a different time. So these batts are something that I really like and use very often. But if you don't have the luxury of these batts, you can do what we just did. Cut the pot off the wheel, pick it up and put it off to the side to then use another one.
