DAVID GIBSON: I have also formed a little bit of a rim here, so I know where to put my hands. I'm going to try to pull this rim up here. I'm going to try to pull up my rim here on the base of this platter, I've got my sponge in my hands sometimes I used that as a little bit of a blanket to throw with but I'll use equal pressure inside and out. Got a lotta good clay out here and again press the top of my rim. Again want to undercut a nice equal throwing on the inside. Got nice equal pressure and I'm headed up before I head out. A little bit of water, then I want to keep this going to the straight up before I head out, again gravity. Once it heads out, it's hard to head back up again. And I'm really trying to form this--to pressing my edge here and I want to think about how I want my rim to be in the end, so I'm leaving some extra clay up there to form the edge of my rim. We may try to manipulate that later.
