Learn About the Different Types of Litter for Kittens

Hi! I’m Dr. Adrienne Mulligan and I am the owner of Camp Verde Veterinary Clinic and I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com to talk to you today about caring for kittens. Now there are other litters that can be chosen if you look on the shelves at your local Basha’s or Walmart. They have anything from pelleted litters; there is one called Feline Pine and one called Yesterday’s News. Those are actually made of paper and pelleted and those are pretty benign if they eat them because they are just basically paper and they are not going to cause a lot of problem so that is a good choice. Then they make fine cedar litter that is like this little powder made out of cedar shavings but really soft. I think those are pretty healthy as well even if they get into them. There are plenty of choices for litter. Just make sure your kitty is using the litter that you choose and that they are not eating too much of it.
