How to Apply Liquid Foundation Makeup

ERIN KEITH: Hi. I'm Erin and you're watching Expert Village, and today we're going to be working on corrective base makeup. Okay now, we're going to apply the liquid foundation that we mixed. So take your large synthetic brush and you want to dabble it on your palette. See how it's picking up just enough product here but it's not wasting it. It's not soaking it all in. It goes on nice and smooth here. And like I said, we're just going to do half of the face. And while you're applying it, you can go back over it. I like to do this right after I apply and just kinda go over with my sponge to smooth it out evenly with the skin. So there we go, right there, very nice. And then come around the apples of the cheeks. See, I just like to a--and some people like to do start out points. They like to do point here, point here, point here and then spread from there but I've just like to go with it like it's a picture like a canvas, just kinda cover all the areas here, just swoop around and actually go with some of the bone structure too. Go back with your sponge, blend in. Okay, looking good. Let's get your hair out of the way here. All right, I'm going to go up under your eye. See, this covers up the yellow concealer that we used earlier. So now it has a good coverup and also a nice even tone all the way around. Okay, and we go down here to the chin. It's okay if you end up getting some around the mouth or whatever; you can wipe it off later. Okay. Nice. All right. And also to prevent having that horrid line that you do see some women walking around with, you want to make sure you bring down your foundation under the jaw line. Excuse me. Getting in your light here. Just drag it down and also cover up the ears, too, if they're a little red, and see here Jamie's got a little redness right there. No big deal, just cover it up. We'll just blend down all around the neck so you don't have that nasty line. All right and there we go. We have your liquid foundation.
