The German Full Stroke on Snare Drum

JOEL SIEGEL: The last full stroke, that we're going to do, excuse me, second to last, is going to be your German grip, and this is going to be really concentrated in your wrist. Like I said, the German grip is more where your wrist is flat, so this is going to be a lot of work for your wrist. In that way, it would be a good exercise as far as the strength building to focus on these full strokes, make sure you get that full extension beginning all the way down and all the way back up. So this is how your full stroke and the German grip should sound.
