How to Level the Second Shelf Bracket When Installing Shelves

Hey, it’s Dominic with Expert Village. Now we got to first bracket it up on the wall and it’s in there and it’s really solid and it’s really good, the thing is just not going nowhere and again based on what I’m putting up for it’s going to be based on how many anchors we need and what you know the thickness of them. Alright so going off camera for a second. Now we have got to install the second bracket on the wall. A lot of times our ceilings are not 100% level so lot of times it is going to slant so the only way to make sure that these brackets are leveled is to level it like this, the old fashioned way. So here I set my level on top of the first one and it is level right now. Now again here’s the center, here’s my 9 inch mark from here so this is 18 inches from line to line and I actually have it within the 18 inches. So here is my mark up, so I go straight up from there, I put a line there actually so I know how high to put this other bracket. So here it is, here’s my guy and here’s my bracket and I know that my bracket is going to be about right there and just to make sure that I’m somewhat close it is exactly level it’s exactly where I want it so now I’m holding and here you could also use you knee, you can put your knee into to hold it in place, you take your screw because it obviously the pencil doesn’t fit in there and you push for your first hole okay now we know pretty much how many holes we’re going to use so we can go ahead and mark our other holes while we got it up and that’s the second hole here and I got it and of course my third hole alright. So now we know where the holes are going, this guy is up and in the next segment we’re going to actually install these things again.
