GRACE FRAGA: Hi, welcome back to Expert Village on how to make a multi-dimensional T-shirt. So, here we have our T-shirt and Chantelle is going to tell us another tip on making your multi-dimensional T-shirt. So, what's tip number two, Chantelle? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Okay, step number two or tip number two is--does your T-shirt design even need to be multi-dimensional? If you have something that say is--it could be words on a patch if you want it to but you don't want to over do it as well. Say, if I have a T-shirt and it just has like one big spiral on the middle and I've got too much going on with too many mediums, you want to be aware of using too many mediums. I see a few designers and a lot of people out there that they'll use certain things and I don't really know what they are going for but you have to remember that T-shirt art is still art but you also want to remember your consumer; who is wearing this T-shirt even if it's just you. You want to make sure that you're wearing something that's a, comfortable; b, something that when you have to take it to wash, it's not going to be a complete and total project. Dry cleaning, it runs expensive. Do you want to dry clean a T-shirt? Think about it because that costs money. So, make sure you're thinking about the wearer and the "wearee"... GRACE FRAGA: Yeah. CHANTELLE TIBBS: ...when you're designing a T-shirt 'cause this is something you'd wear. GRACE FRAGA: So, you want to match the T-shirt, the design and the fabrics to the person who's going to wear them. CHANTELLE TIBBS: The comfort level and just-you know--rational. GRACE FRAGA: And also make the design and the fabrics kinda match and make a statement or say something, not just random, crazy, fabric mixture and colors and... CHANTELLE TIBBS: Some of that works but I mean, you know, just make sure that you're thinking about the person wearing it, that they're not going to have to spend $10,000 to dry clean a T-shirt 'cause you know what? Your customer's not going to like that.
