Now this is a Clove Hitch with a working end. Now this one you can't really take like a Clove Hitch and slip over the end of something this one has to be tired directly over something so that it creates a nice tight hitch. If you look down here you can see I have got my hitching post here and I am going to go ahead and take my rope and lay my working end right over the top of it and loop it back under. I am going to put a little more length under it because I am going to need it. I have got this nice hoop going here and I am going to wrap it back over like this and I am keeping it on the opposite side here and I am going to wrap it back over again. If you want to you can put a little loop in here and tie it but as I pull it here it is nice and secure here and when you pull on it comes right loose. I am going to try that one more time. Now wrap it over my hitching post and under and over back over again on the opposite side of my loop here. Actually I am not going to put a loop in this I am just going to bring it under and there we go.
