How to Make Front Yard Gardens

Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen on behalf of Expert Village. In this series we're talking about how to make your garden feel more welcoming. In this segment we're going to talk about your front yard. Now your front yard is the first place that everyone sees when they come up to your driveway. It's what they remember the most about your yard, it's first impression. To make your garden feel more welcoming, make a first great impression, water features, wind chimes, all kinds of garden art. Those are really memorable and people will remember them when they leave your house. So your front yard is your first plan of attack and there are so many ways you can make it more welcoming. Whether it's stepping stones up to the front door or a wind chime that just gently makes noise as they walk up or a small water feature having plants close to the front door with great fragrances is a great way to welcome guests too. When someone walks up to a lilac bloom or they see that your jasmine has flowers on it, they are going to remember that. It will be a great conversation to so as soon as they walk in you have something to talk about. So remember there are lots of ways to make your garden more welcoming especially in your front yard. Next we'll talk about your backyard.
