GRACE FRAGA: Now that we have the t-shirt we know what style we want and what color, what quality, if we want cotton or not, then what do we need to do, Chantelle? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Alright now, we're just going to gather all the supplies that you can possibly need and bring them in one vicinity with you. GRACE FRAGA: Great. Where do we buy the supplies? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Oh, that's a good question. It depends on where you're at, San Francisco, Pearl's. I would say anywhere in the valley or Los Angeles area, Michaels. Any kind of fabric store that you want, the paints that I use are the ones that I like or there is Tulip and then there is also Speedball. So, I mean those are mine. There are a lot of people that I've had disastrous results with a certain companies and then other people would say that they like those companies. So, you really just have to get a feel for what works best with you, what design you have, and the stuff that you're screen printing. GRACE FRAGA: So, it's kind of like a trial and error kind of thing? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-huh, which is one of the first things you're going to need, you're going to need paint. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. CHANTELLE TIBBS: You can get this at any fabric store, 9 times out of 10 it's just fabric paint. You want to make sure that it's fabric paint. That way when you wash it, it won't wash off. That's one thing that you're going to need. You're going to need your stencil, like we mentioned, your t-shirt. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. The stencil and the t-shirt right here... CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. GRACE FRAGA: ...and so next, we're going to learns how to put the paint on it. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. We're going to put the paint on it. You're going to lay down the towel on the top of the table or working space that works for you. You're going to make sure you're not bending over too far or you're not sitting down on the tables too far up and I just want to make sure it's a very comfortable working space. You're going to need a tweener. I called it a tweener, I'm sure there are organizations... GRACE FRAGA: What's that? CHANTELLE TIBBS: ...that are going to talk about--this is just a piece of cardboard you place between the two layers of the shirts, so the paint doesn't leak through the back. GRACE FRAGA: Oh, very smart. CHANTELLE TIBBS: You're going to want a fine point, a fine brush, so that you can make touch ups at the ends. I have Shout Wipes just in case. And you get paint anywhere, and really quick you can wipe it off. Scissors, just in case, I always use scissors for everything. You're going to have a cup filled with water that's for your touch ups just to make sure that you're cleaning off the brush properly. These are the sponges that you're going to use to apply the paint to the stencil so it goes through. And we have a hair dryer. GRACE FRAGA: Nice. CHANTELLE TIBBS: A hair dryer is actually very important. Not only does it dry your shirt very fast, but it sets the design so that when you wash it, it doesn't bleed. It's cheap! GRACE FRAGA: Really, so the hair dryer was really important. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yes. It's really cheap! GRACE FRAGA: With a regular hair dryer, this is so very easy. It's just amazing. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yes. GRACE FRAGA: Wow, I can't wait for you to show us how to put the paint on the t-shirt
