How to Get the Most Juice out of Oranges
Hi! I'm Diane Weisman and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to juice an orange. Great things about juicing your own oranges as if they're not pasteurized. Pasteurization is used in the commercial store bought juices that you buy where they have pulp or whether they don't; they're organic. They're pasteurized, so they can stay on the shelf longer. Your orange juice will be fresh. We'll have the nutrients intact and the freshness and the flavor there. The oranges should be room temperature, but if they're not, here's a few methods that you can use to bring them to room temperature. Take a fork and poke it through the skin. Not all the way through to the flesh. Then put in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Another way is you can pour boiling water over the orange, or drop it into a pot of boiling water for 30 seconds.
