Preparing Bedroom to Sleep During Day
Now that we have everything ready before we go to work, we need to make sure that we actually get some rest. I want to talk to you about how to prepare your environment so you can sleep the best way possible. One of the major things is to make sure that the room that you're sleeping in does not have a lot of noise or background environment and that it's dark enough. I make sure that I close the curtain. I put a dark color curtain here just so the light wouldn't shine through and actually wake me up. I go ahead and close everything up. Now I'm just about ready to get to bed, but there's 2 other things we need to make sure we do. Make sure that you turn your cell phone off. If you like to know who's calling, just put your phone on silent. If you're a light sleeper and if it rings or beeps, you're going to be up, it'll really mess up your sleep pattern. Make sure you try to turn your cell phone on vibrate, silent, or even off. Also, one of the most important things. Once your body relaxes and you get a good nap, you may just sleep all night, so you need to make sure that you set your alarm clock. Depending on what you do before you go to work, I suggest that you go ahead and set it for about 2 hours before the time that you need to be a work. Allow yourself time to get to work. Allow yourself time to eat when you get up, and allow yourself time to maybe shower or do whatever it is that you need to do before making sure that you're awake, alert, and ready for the night. Go ahead and set your alarm clock, and you should be all set.
