Hi this is Eric Sterns with Expert Village. We're discussing and demonstrating the gifts of leather works and traditional style leather works. Right now we're covering the construction of a knife sheath. What I'm going to be going over right now is the actual fitting of the knife to the sheath. What we're going to be doing, is the blade itself has been treated with some oil that will help it stay protected and we're taking the sheath that has been soaked and sewn together with a strip of raw hide lace and now we're going to simply take the blade, play with the opening a little bit and fit it in where we want it. Right about there and that kind of, then I'm going to look at it and see if that's where I want it. I see that that, that's kind of a shape that I like, that I want to use. So we'll go ahead and go with that and you know, you want to look at it now because if need be you can take the lacing out, you can re-cut it, re-do the holes or whatever you might like to do to adjust the size. But we'll be adjusting; we'll have opportunities to adjust the fit later on.
