Playing Different Pitched African Drums

MAN: So, in the djembe ensemble, you use different pitched drums. The lead drummer has the high drum, then the accompaniment drummer has a little bit lower pitched drum. And he plays accompaniment patterns which just repeat, no improvising. Sounds something like this. That's just one example. It could sound like this. It could sound like this. And that's how the music is put together by different drummers, each holding their part, playing at the same time. This is djembe.
