How to Recover from a Music Tour

ATHENA REICH: In this segment I'm going to talk about recovering and reflecting. Touring, booking it, doing it can be exhausting. You need down time, you need time to recover and you need time to reflect. You're not always going to be making money sometimes you're going to lose some, sometimes you're going to come back with some but you need to have some time to reflect was it worth it? What could make it better for me? What is success to me? You know, have I, if I got hundreds of new e-mails and fans that is a success. But take time to reflect and think about is touring helping you? Is it better for you and your music to tour to Europe instead of America? Is it better for you to just have a web presence? Touring isn't for everyone so take the time to recover, reflect, try and enjoy yourself on the road but really assess whether it was a success or not and define success for yourself. Success is not always in dollar amount. Success can be about having a wonderful time and gaining new fans.
