How to Care for a Bearded Dragon
Hi I’m Daniel Keeper owner and operator of Zoo Keeper Exotic Pets in Austin, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village.com; today we are going to be talking about exotic pets, care and maintenance of them. Here I have one of the most popular pets that we offer and this is called the bearded dragon. They are from Australia. They like to climb and spend much of their time basking in the sun. They are really great pets for beginners and experts as well. They don’t get too large of a size so the caging requirements are something that you can live with. They are fairly docile and their diet and caging is easy to accommodate. A couple of things to keep in mind are that these guys are dry scrub land animals and they spend lots of time basking in the sun. So when you provide them with a cage, you need to be sure to give them lots of ultraviolet light. They are omnivores which mean that they eat vegetation as well as meat in the form of insects usually. Bearded dragons love crickets and meal worms, turnip greens, mustard greens and it is really fun to watch them eat.
