Specificity in Puppet Performance

In this clip, we're going to talk about specificity. I think one of the things that's really important about puppets is to be very, very, very clear and break things down into little tiny nuggets. One exercise that I like to do is the puppet to the object. I would like you to try to see the object. I’m going to do it with my right hand. This is my thinking hand. See the object, consider the object, decide that you're going to pick up the object, and then pick up the object. We're going to do this sitting. Let's put this between his legs. Here we go. See the object. Very, very simply. See it, consider it, decide you're going to pick it up, and pick it up.
