We want to talk to you a little bit about the importance of stretching your body out before you start hooping. We practice a yoga warm-up before we start any of our activities. We do that to clear our bodies and mind of anything unwanted, and really prepare ourselves to hoop, create some intension and some purpose. You also use muscles during hooping that you probably would never use. It's really important to get those muscles warmed up, pliable, and ready to go. We've got some great suggestions for stretching, so Hannah's going to lead us through that. Alright. Take your hoop, place it on the small of your back, fingers out, take a nice deep inhale standing tall. On the exhale, just fold to the right. Feel that stretch from the bottom of your heel, out through the tips of your fingers. Inhale, bring it back up, and exhale, fold to the left. Nice. Keep your breath strong. Inhale, up. Exhale, to the right. Inhale, up and exhale to the left. Nice. Now, take the hoop down to your waist, inhale, bend the knees, twist to the right, and exhale, twist to the left. Inhale, right. Exhale, left. Keep this going moving with your breath. Start to feel that energy move up from the bottom of your thigh all the way out through the chest. Nice. Keep breathing. Then let's slowly bring it back. The last exercise is just getting those hips ready. Push the hips to the right, move them around to the left, and all the way back. Just keep swirling your hips around, breathing deeply. Let's switch it up. Other way. Go ahead and switch it up. Take it in the other direction. Are you breathing? Nice. Alright, let's get started.
