Do all rookie's have to start in the back. Or do they allow some selected ones to start in their earned position?

How to Line Up for a Sprint Car Race

In this clip we're going to talk about the basic elements to a race, of a race weekend. You know, normally on a normal race weekend, you qualify. And your qualifying time puts you into a heat race. Heat races run, depending on how many cars there are, and what event you're at, you know they run eight to twelve laps with you know, anywhere from eight to twelve cars. Then you move in, if you run a good heat race and you know there is enough cars in the race where you know the top four transfer or the top two transfer or maybe its only the top one transfer, depending on how many heat races there are. Those ones transfer all to the main and then the B main and the C main and your main goal is to get to the feature, which is the A main. Normally the winners of the heat races go into a dash, and it's just a dash for a trophy. And it just puts you into position, so if win the dash, you start pulling the feature, and if you get second in the dash, you start second in the feature. You know, dashes are normally four laps, five laps, where is a main can run anywhere from 25 to 50 laps, depending on the event.
