Do the sprint car shocks leak oil as much as the Quarter Midget shocks do? Probably not cause its probably a Pro Shock.

How Sprint Car Shocks Work

Ok, in this clip we're going to talk about shock absorbers. Actually my dad owns a shock absorber company so this is what I've been doing my whole life. He owns Country Gas Shocks, and these just cause the car to take impact so you're not riding on a frame rail, you're riding on these, oh my gosh, this one's stiff, move up and down just like that. These are gas pressured shocks so they have air in them. That's what's moving up and down gas and oil are mixing and they pull apart and they mix and pull apart as you go across the track. These basically are stoppers and these show you how much you have moved so if I'm out there and the shock absorber is here but when I come back in and it's here that means that's how much I moved, the shock moved when it?s out on the track. This is about a good distance for a shock to move. You know, if you're down here you're way too stiff and if you're up here you need to go stiffer.
