Taking a Scarab Tank in Halo 3

JOHN SEXTON: Halo 3 is a registered trademark of Bungie Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. Okay. So here we are trying to take down a Covenant Scarab tank. I've got a marine on the back of this Mongoose with a rocket launcher, and since the marines won't run out of ammo when they're using their rocket launchers and you will if you use them, it's a good idea to try to let the marines do most of the shooting for this particular battle. You want to take out the Scarab tank by getting inside of it and shooting its reactor core, but of course it's much too tall to jump into while it's walking around normally. So you need to find a way to either knock it down and bring it down to ground level, or use a ramp to launch your Mongoose and Master Chief inside of the Scarab and take it out that way. Since we're on a Mongoose right now and we've got a marine with a rocket launcher on the back, we're going to go ahead and let him do the work for us and take out this Scarab's legs. So we've managed to damage one leg pretty well right now, and it's not really paying attention to us at the moment 'cause it's attacking some of the other marines. So we're just going to try to stay here behind it and use this marine to take it out. Looks like the Scarab has come down. We can jump inside of it. Now, inside the Scarab are typically lots of other Covenant. Here's a turret, plasma turret. I'll pick that up. And so we've got to proceed carefully. Here are several Brutes and Grunts. I want to take these guys out before I'll be able to reach the reactor core. There's nothing more disappointing than getting onto a Scarab and then getting killed, so we want to be very careful to make sure that we don't fall off and that we don't get killed.
