How the Bubble Shield Works in Halo 3

JOHN SEXTON: Halo 3 is a registered trademark of Bungie Software, a company of which I have no affiliation. There was a brute up there, and he has just deployed one of the new things in Halo 3 called a "Bubble Shield." It's a piece of equipment that you can pick up or the enemies can pick up and you can use it tactically to your advantage in fights. So the Bubble Shield is exactly what it sounds like and it's just a shield that you can deploy for a short amount of time and it prevents any projectiles from going into or out of it, but it doesn't prevent you from physically walking inside of it. So it's especially useful at a distance or if you're running low on ammo, you can throw down a Bubble Shield and the enemies won't be able to get you unless they come inside in which case you could hit them with your melee attack, so the Bubble Shield is an interesting, strategic wrinkle in the Halo 3 tactical game. Here's a jackal, I came up behind him so I was able to catch him by surprise. I was able to shoot him and then finish him off with a melee attack--that's a popular combination in Halo and it is to take the shields down with some projectile weapons and then use melee attack to finish off your enemies. It's also fun and satisfying to kill your enemies with butt of the rifle.
