First Level Resistance in Halo 3

JOHN SEXTON: Halo 3 is a registered trademark of Bungie Software a company with which I have no affiliation. Since this is the first level, the resistance isn't too high and my teammates are doing a pretty good job of taking out the enemies with me. Now you can see some blue disks up there on the ridge, those are energy shields that are carried by a different kind of enemy called the jackal. I'm going to switch my assault rifle for a new weapon here called the "spiker" which is new in Halo 3. And it's a fast firing sort of machine guy that shoots spikes as the name suggests and it runs out of ammunition pretty quickly but it's also very damaging if you can get the round sent to the enemies. So dual wielding is another thing you can do in Halo. I've got two spikers here one in each hand. And when you've got two weapons like this then the right trigger fires the gun in your right hand and the left trigger fires the gun in your left hand. These are some fuel cells that if you shoot them they'll explode damaging any nearby enemies or yourself if you're not careful. The down side of having a dual wielding like this is that you can't throw grenades which are normally assigned to the left trigger, so you have to decide what's best for your current situation, to wield two weapons or to have a free hand to throw grenades. Also your reloading is a little bit slower when you have two weapons.
