How to Add Details to Clay Bust
In wrapping this sculpture of a bust up, there's a couple more things I can do. I can smooth out certain areas, and I can work on the eyes a little bit more on it. I'm not really thrilled with the eyes right, but I can go in and I can keep building and then pressing out until I get the eye shape that I want. I can come in and actually add texture to the hair and make the hair look even more realistic. Just kind of score it and just those simple techniques right there give the hair even more depth. Then I can smooth out anywhere that I scraped out that doesn't look that great. I can just kind of touch that up and then, you have some time if you keep the clay wet you can keep shaping and fooling with it until you get it how you want it. That is how you do a clay bust.
