Now what I want to talk about is stretching. With stretching you have to realize that it's extremely important and that you should do it before and after you play and during the day when you have free time. Soccer is extremely physical and it really works the muscles in every way throughout the whole body especially your legs. One of the main muscles that gets used in soccer is your quads this is a basic soccer stretch. Use you opposite arm to grab your foot by the shoe laces and just pull your leg back you can use both arms and bend that knee, stick out your hips a little bit. You want to hold each stretch for a good 30-40 seconds and switch and keep going back on them cause these muscles need a really lot of stretching. We really don't stretch these enough as with all muscles in soccer. For balance you can have a partner and you can use each others shoulders like that. The quads are used in kicking and running basically you're going to use them all game long, there going to be some tightest things on you.
