Oh jeeze. That really sounded good. I'm going to try pentatonic minors, also. :D

It also sounds good with the C chord augmenting the pentatonic C scale.

Pentatonic Scale: Intermediate Music Theory

Hi! I’m Mark Black and welcome to expertvillage.com. We’re going to talk about intermediate theory concepts. Now, we at the most…coming to the most….the foundation of modern rock and pop soloing for the last 40 years, and that’s called the world famous pentatonic scale. We get rid of the fourth note and we get rid of the seventh note and we have the pentatonic scale, which the first, second, third, fifth and sixth notes of a major scale. Pentatonic, meaning a 5 notes scales. We only have 5 notes left. Steps are peaceful. When I go…da da da da da da da da da da da…I didn’t skip; did those very comfortable. Skipping ….is exciting. You’ll notice this scale has got skip and steps in it, so you just play it…it sounds like you’re doing something special; the pentatonic scale. In just a second I’m going to switch to the guitar, and we’ll talk about this. Lets just hear a little bit more of this…and I just want to get some pentatonic here. Just play straight up. That sounds like something, even though it’s just the major scale missing the fourth and seventh notes.
