Assessing a Window Mop

DAVE BARKER: On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Dave Barker. I'm going to show you how to evaluate your mop and the condition of your mop, and I'll go over a little bit more of the squeegee. This right here is a mop or a wand, or it can be referred to as a strip mop, a strip washer. This has a sleeve that detaches with Velcro. It comes off and sometimes these are plastic. Sometimes they're straight. This handle actually flexes for a little bit more accessibility on my part, and I can have a pole tip in here as well. And through pressure, this come out and you can slip poles inside the hole. The same thing with the squeegees, they have holes in the handles for that as well. And the reason for this is so you can wring this out. You can put it in the washer and clean it up after--if it starts to get dingy, you can put some bleaches on it to disinfect it because sometimes there's a lot of bacteria that's going to build up and so forth on the windows. You could put that back on, the Velcro on the tab. And when it wears out, you can replace this.
