ALVIN DEDEUX: Okay, so we have kinda gone through the basic tools and materials and the basic steps to fly tying. We've talked about the vise and the other tools that you need to tie the flies. We've learned how to attach the thread to the hook which is the basis of all fly tying. We have to have something to tie with. And then we've attached some eyes to the hooks, which is a technique that will come in handy quite a bit. Quite a few flies nowadays have eyes. And then all flies are made of some type of material that we need to attach to the hook so we did that. Palmering hackle is another very popular technique. We've learned that. And then dubbing a hook or dubbing a body on our fly. We've covered that too. So now you've mastered all the basic techniques so we should be ready to actually tie a few different fly patterns.
