How to Use Headlamps for Fly Fishing

ALVIN DEDEAUX: Another item I consider an essential, you could probably fish without one, but a headlamp or flashlight is a really good thing to have in your bag. I like the headlamp because once I put it on, even though it looks pretty goofy, I can keep my hands free for rigging my gear or if I decide to fish until after dark and I want to walk back to the car, then I can flip my light on and I can still carry my gear and not have to worry about falling down. Even sometimes when it's not dark, on a cloudy day, in low-light situations, if you're using really small flies, you can flip your headlamp on, it'll make it a lot easier to see them and rig your gear up that way.
