Cha-Cha Dancing Posture for Beginners
This is Leslie Sack with expertvillage.com. You can check out my website at lesliesack.com. We’re doing Cha-Cha, alright so we’re going to show you how to hold your frame and your arms and your body so you can look like a Cha-Cha dancer right away. So biggest thing is you’re going to hold you arms up in the air, Simon says and you’re going to grab, pretend you’re at the gym, grab that black pull down bar so you get your back working, okay and you’re going to bring your elbows in front of you just enough so you can feel your stomach kick in. So you go your back working and your stomach working. If I’m the leader my right arm’s going to drop and I’m going to hold her right hand to my left hand, my right hand is on her scapula. If I’m a girl my right arm’s up, my left arm’s down. The most important thing here is that you’ve got your body lifted and you see your heart is up. That lifts it up and then what you’re going to do is you’re going to tilt forward from your ankles so this is going to create the Latin posture. So my partner’s right in front of me, we’re going to have a slight A frame towards each other so everybody’s going to be leaning in towards each other.
