How to Domino & Own the Domino

Hi! I’m Nathan Holsey, author of the book The Dominologist. On behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip I will be talking about dominoing or the domino. If you’d like to learn more information on double 6 dominos, please refer to my website thedominologist.com. Now, there are actually 2 types of dominos, I can say it’s dominoing and to own the domino. To own the domino means that you have, like in this case, I have one domino in my hand, so my next play I’m going to domino if no one else dominos. It would look like this domino, on your backs, everyone! Now in other cases, if I were to pass, it’s likely that someone else would carry the domino and own the domino. In a game while you’re sitting with others, someone might ask who’s holding the domino and they’d point at me because I have one domino left. Most likely I’m going to be the one to get the points out of everyone’s hands, so that’s holding the domino and then I domino, on your backs, everyone! I get the points in your hand when I domino. I get to count all these points and go okay, double 6, that’s 21, that’s almost 30. You count everyone’s points and you collect that and that’s it, you’ve dominoed.
