Basic House Rules of Playing Dominoes

Hi! I’m Nathan Holsey, author of the book The Dominologist. On behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip I will be talking about house rules. For more information, go to my website thefominologist.com. First house rule I’d like to say is no nicks. That means you can’t just take 5 points and go 5, no nicks. You have to take 10 points, say 10, you know and you can only count 10 more, so 10, 15, 20, 25 etc. The next rule I’d like to talk about is cut throat. Usually, cut throat it can be players, you know if there’s 4 players and teams, then the losing team gets up, next team comes. But usually cut throat is 4 players and the last person or the lowest person gets up. It's counter clockwise, you play counter clockwise but the very lowest scoring player has to go. The next rule is 150 point game. That’s usually a general house rule, every game the winning score is 150 points.
