Heading Techniques in Soccer for Beginners
Okay let’s move on to demonstrations. I have brought along my friend Katy who is going to help us out. First I want to talk about the proper way to head a soccer ball. Okay, so I am going to give Katy the ball here and before you throw it to me I want you to notice my feet are planted my back is straight before you throw me the ball I am going to lean back a little bit and when I come through the ball I’m going to snap my back and my neck. One more time. You are going to want to use this technique when the ball is high in the air. Two reasons, either you are heading the ball in the goal or you are clearing it away from the goal. Defensive and Offensive heading, they both use the same principles.
