Hardware Requirements for Sid Meier's Railroads

DIXON GILETTE: Okay. To run Sid Meier's Railroads!, you're going to need at least a 1.4 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon Processor or it's equivalent. You're going to want to have at least 512 megabytes of RAM, a 64-megabyte video card with hardware pixel and vertex shaders, a DirectX 7 compatible sound card. You want to have a CD or a DVD-ROM drive, at least 1.7 gigabytes of available hard-drive space and you're going to need DirectX 9.0 which is included in the software. Recommendations for the system are actually at least a 2.0 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon to really boost your graphics speed. You're going to want to have a gig of RAM that will give you the full graphics settings. It will make available all the different shaders and textures. A 128-megabyte video card. And the supported operating systems are going to be Windows 2000 with Service Pact 1 or higher, Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pact 1 or higher. I am actually running this on Windows Vista right now, and it is running just fine. So let's get started and let's head over to our main menu.
