RICHARD NEIL: Okay. So, when we're starting a massage, we always reestablish our contact with the recipient. I'm placing one hand here in the lumbar region and one around the heart and just connecting with my partner, feeling her breathing and establishing contact with her. So I'm moving down to this leg here, and I'm going to do a three-way stretch, and we're visited by our feline friend here which happens in massage sometimes. Okay. As long as you're resting, you're okay. So never work with cats. This will work; she's my assistant. So keeping things light here. I'm moving Sarah's leg out, and when I do this, the side of the buttocks area gets more pronounced and things get a little bit more exposed. And I can use my forearm or my elbow here to come in on the side. And breathe. Are you okay? And the cat has left the room. Do you feel that? SARAH: Uh-huh. RICHARD NEIL: And she's back. Yes. Cats and dogs can often pick up the energy of a massage session going on. They get very relaxed with it and I've worked in many households where dogs will come to visit and they just go to sleep. They kind of feel what's going on in the room and they are fine with that. Then they're like, "What's going on with my owner?" They're okay with it. And when you're doing a massage, it's important to know your own body mechanics here. So I'm using my full body. I'm resting Sarah's leg on my leg and I'm just leaning the elbow into her buttocks area here. Breathe. There's points all along the side here, I feel different knots. It's important to keep the hand light and not make a fist. Okay. And we'll continue with this area when we come back.
