How to Stretch After Aerobic Exercises

KATIE BOWERS: Hi, my name is Katie Bowers with Expert Village, and today, I am doing aerobics with boot camp. We are also actually continuing our cool-down in this segment. So I'm just going to go ahead and stretch out the legs. They're going to be pretty tight and sore. And we'll just begin bringing those legs out, just a small straddle. And you can go ahead and walk it out, reach for the toes. I can point them. You can gradually go down lower and then flex, taking it over to one side, flatten the back, bring that chest over, and bring it to the other side. And lifting the chest out, you're going to bring both feet together. So you're in a butterfly stretch. Pull those heels in as close as you can and then reach out in front of you, pressing those knees down, not directly putting pressure on your knees. You don't want to be pushing down there, just a little bit below, and coming back up. This is a lot of people's least favorite, bringing those feet together, going into a forward pike. Reach for the toes. You can bend the knees if you want, but try to keep them as straight as possible and bring it up. Take a nice deep breath in and exhale out. And you are done. Good job.
