Cutting out Pictures for Light Switch Plate Covers

Hi! I'm John with expertvillage.com and today we're making light switch plate covers. The last time we talked about choosing a picture. We already chose a picture. Now we have to cut it our the magazine and we have to cut it out of the book. If you printed it off, you have to cut it off because you're not going to use this entire page and fold it over, so want to learn how to cut it. First things first. We want to get a flat surface that we can scratch if we're not careful. We can hurt this one if we want. That's how big we want it, but let's crop it a little bigger so that we have more to work with so it's easier to use. What we'll need is an Exacto knife or a razor blade. We have it here. Again, you don't want these screws or this to go somebody's face because then it'll be ugly, tacky, and stupid. Let's hold it up and just cut around it. Let's just be safe because you can always cut, but you can't always add. Let's cut it out here. Again, we want to be really safe with this razor blade because it'll cut you up. Alright, pull it out. There. It's big enough. We've got the picture.
