How to Find Scratches on Rocks

Hi, I'm Jason, with expertvillage.com. We've finished the second polish on the rock, did all the edges and the flat surfaces. I'm now examining to make sure that there are no deep scratches that I put in with the last bit. It's tedious; you do it every single step of the way. But as you can see, I have a small one right there that I need to go back over and a little bit here on the edge. So neither one of those look really too bad. I'm just going to sand them a little bit extra with the now 800... this is the 1200 grit, I'm sorry. So I'm just going to do the same thing, 1200 grit all over the whole thing, and being mindful that I have a couple of scratches that I need to just work a little bit more on this. And after that we'll do the really high shine on it. It'll be two or three different bits that we put in, but it'll really make it shine after that. But we'll do this one, and we'll move on from there.
