Identify Good Starting Hands for Z Poker

Let's talk real quick about what is a good hand in this little game we call Z. Now Z like a lot of poker variants. Omaha for example, is a game where you want to have a lot of options. You want your starting hand to have a lot of potential. Take this hand for example, remember at the end of the hand at the showdown we have to take three of these five cards and combine them with two on the board. So we're looking for three really good card hands. Well, king, queen, jack is good that has the potential to bring up a straight draw. We have king, queen, three of hearts we can catch the nut flush with that and then this ace can work with the king or the queen or the queen or the jack to produce a straight. What's important here the reason why I made sure to include this three is that I want you to know that this hand looks like it might produce a low but it won't. That is because you have to have a three low cards in your starting hand but this one only has two. This is only good in the high end it's a pretty good hand it's not the best kind of hand that you want. Let's look at this other hand that I laid out here. Remember it's three cards from your starting hand that you are going to combine with your community cards. In this case a really good hand that you really have going is this one cause we can actually catch a straight flush with a plus and we can catch a nut low with it. In addition, we got two pair in the hand, we have these aces and these fours so we can catch a set and we can catch straights with the ace and the four or the ace and two, or two and the four. There's a lot going on here. We got a good shot of getting a high or a low and we also have a good shot of scooping the pot.
