How to Seal Stained Glass for Stepping Stones

ALLISON KLINGER: On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, my name is Allison at Western Art Glass. In this segment, we're going to talk about the final steps we do before we pour our grout. We made sure that our contact paper that has our glass on it fit within our mold. We're just going to turn it over like this. Rubber spatula will work. We will need this for our grout later. But just make sure that your glass is really sealed down on your contact paper. You want to make sure it's really snug. So that when we pour the grout, it doesn't flow under our glass. So contact paper is a vital, vital step, so make sure that you do this. And I'm not really pushing really hard with force; I'm just making sure that it's stuck, okay? Turn that back over. Your mold, okay? You want to make sure that it's not dusty and gross, so I just spray it some glass cleaner. You could wipe it out with water, whatever. You just want to make sure that it's clean to a degree, okay? Next thing we're going to do is make sure you got tons of paper towels, your lovely petroleum jelly, okay? You can tell it's been in the shop; it's so gross. This is going--we're going to grease our mold just like cooking a cake.
