Learn What Type of Glass You Should Pick for Your Stepping Stones

ALLISON KLINGER: On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, my name is Allison at Western Art Glass. And in this segment, we're going to be talking about the types of glass you should choose for your stepping stone, okay? What you need to be aware of is you need to pick glass that is fairly opaque or somewhat dense, or, in other words, glass you can't really see through. The reason why is because if you pick glass you can see through, you're going to see the grout behind it and it just doesn't really look like you really want it to, okay? So do not pick see-through glass, okay? You want to be careful of the colors that you choose and the fact of how deep the color is, okay? That's really going to be hard to see a beautiful red. You want to pick something more like a vibrant red that you can't see through and it will treat you better. You'll be happier with the end result. So be careful of what colors you choose. Real dense glass is great. You can get really solid stuff, just one color, or you can get tricky stuff. So either which way, it's a lot of fun picking glass, regardless. So go to your local stained glass store, spend some time there. It's well worth it, okay? So get your glass picked out, come back on the next segment. We'll go from there. So check it out.
