Obtain the Right Tools for Stained Glass Stepping Stones

ALLISON KLINGER: On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, my name is Allison at Western Art Glass. And today, we are working on the tools you need to do a stepping stone. Over here at the table, I hopefully grabbed everything that I need, but if not, it's really close. I can just step over and get it. We're going to need, at least, a glass cutter. Glass cutters, the only thing that changes is the grip. So whatever you prefer, go with that. I prefer the pencil grip. This is called a pistol grip. So anyway, there are those. There's your running pliers. There's grozier, breaker pliers or stained-glass pliers. You need a pencil, okay, and eraser, scissors with the groove in them. These scissors are specifically for copper foil, but they are wonderful for stepping stones. These are called tin snips or wire cutters, and then you need like a rubber mallet. You don't need a specific one but this is used for working with lead as well. So I just use it for all kinds of stuff. Anyway, we're going to be talking about our pattern on the next segment, so check it out.
