Correct Combing When Cutting Hair
Hi! My name is Dawn Shannon for Expert Village, owner of Intuition Salon and Spa and I’m also a hairstylist you can visit us on the web at www.intuitionsalonandspa.com. Now we’re going to prepare the hair for the haircut and one of the things that you want to find out is which way the client parts her hair? If she always wears it in the middle, you of course want to cut it in the middle. If she or he wears it to a specific side, you want to cut it to go to that direction, if they wear it in all different directions I find its best to cut it in the center. So I’m going to go ahead and prepare her hair for the direction that she wears it, combing the hair neatly that’s key when you’re doing a haircut to have the hair prepared and neatly combed which is a big contributor in to how well a haircut comes out and what prices a person charges. If it’s not neatly combed while cutting it makes the haircut come out more sloppy, if it’s neatly combed while cutting it makes the hair come out with cleaner lines.
