We just looked at what happens when two people go to the showdown in guts. When it's just two people the winner takes down the pot and the loser matches the pot. What happens if more than two people go to the showdown? Well let's look at that we all anted, the two cards are dealt to everybody and let's just go ahead and say that we said 1 2 3 drop and nobody dropped. Let's look at our four hands, a pair of sevens well clearly a pair of sevens rules the day here and these guys are all action junkies. But their three hands being losers they each have to match the pot. So a pair of sevens wins the four and this guy has to put four chips out, this guy has to put four chips out and this guy has to put four chips out. Now instead of four chips the next hand will be played for twelve chips.
