I'm Travis Steglich with Steglich Farm Supply Incorporated in Bartlett, Texas for Expert Village. I'm going to take some cuttings of a our Salvia leucantha or Mexican bush sage for propagation from the green house. These cuttings are fresh growth in the spring. The soft wood cuttings I know that they are soft wood because I can cut them with my finger, nail like that. We're going to take a few cuttings and take them inside the greenhouse and hopefully propagate them from new plants from these cuttings. What I'm looking for in a way of a cutting is a nice fresh growth and one that I can gently take my fingernail and cut, this one might be a little tough. But I think it'll grow early in the spring. You take soft wood cuttings like this I found them for my purposes to be the most successful.
