Now we're going to discuss the types of customer service. I'm Pamela Unruh on behalf of Expert Village. The next important consideration to think about when you're dealing with a customer in person is to concentrate only on your customer. Now we've discussed distractions before, if as I'm talking to you, oh I see a friend out there! Hey, how are you doing, yeah I'll catch up to you later. Alright, I'm sorry, I had a distraction. That's completely rude isn't it? Now when you go into a place and you're a customer, and the person that is providing customer service, maybe they go off to answer a personal phone call, or talk to somebody else. For one, it really is just basically rude, but for another it just makes you feel as though you're not really all that important to that business. When you're dealing with your customer, your customer is first. Your customer is the most important issue that you have at hand. So deal with that customer and only that customer at that one time.
