Hi, my name is Sheryl with expertvillage.com and today we are making a delicious black bean salsa. We have demonstrated on how to make black bean salsa in a slow cooker or like a crock pot which takes time to soak the beans in about 8 hours and then cook the beans for about 8 hours. But I want to show you a really speedy way to make your black beans from scratch. This is a pressure cooker. This pressure cooker is actually made in Switzerland and in Europe they use pressure cookers a lot. When it locks, it locks on and these two little knobs they stick out on the ends and so it is locked in place. When it starts to get really hot, this little button right here if you can see this is going to start to rise. There would be right here when you see 1 little red ring it is 8 pounds of pressure and when you see 2 little red rings that is 15 pounds of pressure. I'm going to show you how we use this pressure cooker when we are making black bean salsa really quick.
