How to Grind Stained Glass

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Allison at Western Art Glass. On the last step I showed you how to cut shapes out of glass. We practice on window glass first and here is my cut pattern piece on what is called art glass or what people call stain glass. What you are going to want to do is sweep this out of the way and this is the beginning of your scrap glass. After that keep your area clean cause those little pieces would cut you. Step over to the grinder this is a glass grinder it has water. It is going to take off any little glass that is left on here and it is a diamond wheel with water. You just put the glass on here grind around and grind down to the paper pattern. Because that is the shape of the glass that we need to fit into the last spot on our sun catcher. So on the next step I'm going to show you what to do after you got all your pieces grind. So check it out!
