Learn What's Needed to Begin a Copper Stain Glass Project

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Allison from Western Art Glass. I'm going to be talking about supplies that you need there is beginners copper stain glass project or sun catcher. What you need supplies you are going to need flux and you don't dip into the water you actually pour a little bit in cup and dip it in the cup. This is a flux brush, you are going to need solder, you are going to need some flux remover there is a spray on kind or there is a kind that you put in the sink and wash it that way. There is convenience and there is cheaper so take your pick. I use both of them, I got both of them. So other then that you are going to need Patina. You can leave your solder silver or at the very end you can actually change it to black or copper. After you do that you can put a wax on it and shine it up make it really nice and pretty. Other than that you are going to need some wire for the hooks on the sun catcher, you are always going to plan to at least hanging it. So you need wire, there is copper wire and there is tin copper wire so you have copper color or you have silver. They don't make a black wire that solder can stick to so you are stuck with silver for copper. On the next step I'm going to show you how to get started on cutting glass so check it out.
